About Crooked Lake
This is the Crooked Lake in Texas Township, on the southwest side of Kalamazoo. Saying so matters, because there is a second Crooked Lake over in Delton that is also tracked on this site, and a third in Independence Township on the other side of the state that is what most searches turn up first. The sales below are the Texas Township lake only.
It is a small lake close to town, and that combination is what sets the price here — homes on it sell well above what the acreage alone would suggest, because the commute is short and the supply is genuinely limited.

The price-per-front-foot figure is the median closed sale price divided by feet of water frontage, for homes that sold on Crooked Lake in the trailing twelve months.
Listings with reported frontage outside 20 to 1,500 feet are excluded as data-entry error, and statistical outliers are trimmed before the median is calculated. We publish this figure only where there are at least eight qualifying sales in the window — below that, the sample is too small to be reliable.
