The lake
About Crooked Lake
Crooked Lake near Delton is two lakes with one name. Parker Road divides an upper basin of roughly 735 acres from a lower one of about 417, which together make it one of the largest bodies of water tracked on this site — around 1,150 acres.
The two halves are not alike. The upper basin runs to something like 48 feet; the lower is shallow, about 12. A listing says "Crooked Lake" either way, so which side of Parker Road a home sits on is the first thing to establish and it is not something the photographs will tell you. In practice almost everything that sells here is on the upper basin — the lower side rarely comes up at all, so the sales below are effectively an upper-basin record.
There is also a second Crooked Lake tracked on this site, over in Texas Township near Kalamazoo, and a third in Independence Township on the other side of the state. The sales below are the Delton lake only.

The price-per-front-foot figure is the median closed sale price divided by feet of water frontage, for homes that sold on Crooked Lake in the trailing twelve months.
Listings with reported frontage outside 20 to 1,500 feet are excluded as data-entry error, and statistical outliers are trimmed before the median is calculated. We publish this figure only where there are at least eight qualifying sales in the window — below that, the sample is too small to be reliable.
